One month left before finals and having gotten back my midterms, I know its time to get cracking. But with an approaching competition deadline, company deadlines, work, choir reherasals up to twice a week now(hopefully I will only have to goto one per week), blogging and blogosphere, I don't see where school is going to fit in. I think I should have taken a semester off...
In other news, we were rehearsing the song "Holy City" in the choir today and as you can guess, its a church song. I think as a Chinese/Taiwanese choir whose goal is to promote chinese cultural music, choosing "Holy City" as one of our major selections for the upcoming concert in Vancouver is not representative of the choir. The audience expects chinese music, not english and definitely not religious music. I must admit the song does carry a pretty good tune but its still against principles. I guess thats what happens when the majority of the executives are religious (from what I can see)... I should also add we are doing a joint performance with a Vancouver chinese choir which makes it even more important to stick to the principles of objectivity. Either way, I look forward for the concert and will release more details of the performance later.
I still haven't gotten any emails from the advertisement in my previous post. SHAME ON YOU ALL. SHOW SOME COURAGE.
