"Dickson, You are so lazy you would marry a pregnant woman!" - H.S. Math Teacher

Assorted Topics

Ah it has been awhile since I've blogged.  Too busy - though my server was probably down anyways.

My router (at least thats what i think) has really been acting up lately and my constant reconnections to MSN has annoyed some people like Jane and Gobi.  Clearly not my fault.  You should have blocked me ;)  Plus Gobi doesn't count because he's not human. I'm going to lock him up and feed him glass and rusted nails.  Anyways, I just ordered a new router from futureshop and should be here soon.  Hopefully, I can setup my backup dns server right this time and prevent further downtime.  Either that or if somebody is kind enough to donate a business line.  I will give up food for it.

Although I have only taken a short nap today, I do not feel tired at all despite it is 5 am.  Perhaps its the enormous amount of caffeine today (by my standards).  A chocolate fudge latte and two cokes within a 24 hour period.  I wonder what an expresso could do to me....maybe put me into an epileptic seizure of some sort.   Either way, Tuesdays from now are powerplant and second cup days.  Power plant starting at 12:30 and second cup starting at 2 pm (while they still have $2 lattes).  Everyone is welcome to join!

Opera has announced their new version of the web browser will allow voice input.  I think in the next few years, we will see an enormous push from keyboard applications to voice which will be good as I will more likely rein as the keyboard warrior and champion of the earth ;) But then again, nobody will care about the keyboard...

I was looking through some of the projects on SourceForge.net today and I came across one of the most bizarre and pointless projects I have ever seen.  This promising developer wants to build hello world applications each in a different language and the fact that he is calling for help from the community makes it even more bizarre.  Why not just use some online translator?  I'm pretty sure the translators out there are good enough to handle two words.  Anyways, you can assist him via the project page.  But be forewarned, he requires comments for the hello world applications.

I bet you that developer is like 12...I remember when I first learned .NET I wanted to make an application that used an assembly each written in a different language. Pointless...
