I was reading an article on CNN that reports some fat people have taken arms against the diet industry claiming that society and media has wrongfully portrayed them. As one of their members says:
"We're living in the middle of a witch hunt and fat people are the witches,"
"It's (campaign against overweight individuals) [has] gotten markedly worse in the last few years because of the propaganda that fatness, a natural human characteristic, is somehow a form of disease."
Personally, I think this new assocation, National Association to Advance Fat Acceptanance, is retarded. In most cases, being obese is a sign of an eating disorder and should be treated no differently than anorexia. It boggles my mind to think these people are wasting money to lobby against something that will probably save their lives. Acceptance is for losers. Winners conquer.
