Online gaming subscription actually saves you money

Recent years has shown an explosion of online gaming subscription services and while I have been out of the gaming loop for years, I can't help but notice when a vast majority of my engineering friends have succumbed to its addiction.  Particularly, World of Warcraft which charges $15 USD per month seems to be quite popular.  I questioned one of my friends about how the costs would quickly add up month after month and to my surprise, he said he actually saved money.  Apparently ever since he started playing, he has virtually stopped going out.  Additionally, he has been skipping meals which adds even more to his savings.  I guess in the big picture, $15 USD/month is a small price to pay for the opportunity savings.  Moral of the story: play more games!  Heck, he is playing right now beside me while I blog in class.

Makes sense. You have to pay no matter how much or how little you play per month. So might as well maximize your dollars worth. They should sell their beds now. Since sleep is taking up extra time that could be used to play.
