"Dickson, You are so lazy you would marry a pregnant woman!" - H.S. Math Teacher

Spamming has reached a new low!

On March 11th, a company called Deep Space Communications Network beamed the first commercial transmission of craigslist, a community website where people can post classified ads for jobs, housing and so on.  And already, the company has their sight set on their next transmission of...yup, you guessed it -  craigslist.org.   I can't help but wonder what kind of business strategy this company has but it sure doesn't seem like a money making venture.  Would you pay extra to get your ad sent into space? Probably not.  And frankly, if there were aliens out there I'm sure they wouldn't want to be spammed with our advertisements.  Besides, they probably have their own spam to deal with.   Not exactly Gene Roddenberry's idea of first contact!  Heck, our star system could be blacklisted for intergalactic spam and down goes our chance for first contact.  And you know what the Americans will say to that?  BLAME CANADA.

I'd like to think the aliens have advanced spam filtering capabilities and will be able to understand when someone is just feeling lonely.

Or...perhaps...I am on drugs like the people who came up with this dumb idea!! Why don't we beam the bloody site to God while we're at it?
