According to CNN, a test conducted more than 6 months ago by the College of American Pathologist to assess laboratories' ability to identify strains ended up sending out more than 4000 samples of a deadly virus across the world. This virus, Influenza A H2N2, caused the asian flu pandemic in 1957 that killed more than 1 million people. Scary thought! This further shows how humans tend to be the root of problems. Almost seems a miracle that we haven't destroyed ourselves with our array of WMD. The good news, however, is that it was a Canadian lab that identified the deadly strain. Unfortunately, it was only discovered recently on March 26th and authorities are still tracking the samples down.
