Recently, I took my car for a wash at the local Shell station and always wanting the best for my shagging wagon, I naturally took the Ultimate Car wash option that included a tricolor foam wash. My question is what exactly does this tricolor foam wash do? The tricolor foam wash comes after the soap wash so to say it cuts through the dirt would imply a basic car wash would not be doing its job. It definitely doesn't wax my car as there is another process devoted entirely to waxing. And having experienced both car wash options, I am thus far unable to determine the difference in results. What I can see is that from inside the car the mixture of blue, green and yellow foam looks like a giant finger painting by a 6 year old and yet impressive at the same time. And for a split second, I could almost smell the lemony freshness. So I'm not sure if tricolor foam actually does something or is it just scented eye candy cloaked as a marketing ploy. But whatever it is, I still plan to get it for my car if not just for the nice 30 second show.
