"Dickson, You are so lazy you would marry a pregnant woman!" - H.S. Math Teacher

Seattle Day 1: Update

Today has been quite a productive day in that we got most of our equipment setup and caught up on sleep. We spent most of the morning and early afternoon looking for computer stores and ended up busing to Best Buy to get what we needed. Bus here operates a little diferently than Edmonton. Instead of paying right when you board the bus, you pay after you get off the bus. We also boarded our bus in the metro train tunnel which was pretty weird as you could see the train tracks but instead of trains, the place was filled with busses. When Mack and I returned to our hotel, we decided to take a short nap but ended up waking up 7 hours later - greatly refreshed! We went to McDonalds for dinner (thats two times in one day) although originally we were looking for Denny's but somehow got lost along the way. On our way back, we decided to take the monorail and its actually pretty cool! The monorail goes pretty fast and because its travelling on narrow tracks, it feels like you're on a rollercoaster.

Anyhow, we're now getting down to do some real work and the first thing we did was do a little rewiring of the hotel's business center on the lobby floor and setup a wireless network. We're definitely out doing ourselves everytime it seems!

As for this morning's incident at the airport, I was ironically having more problems getting through customs than our robot. Having being rushed for packing and everything, I did not have my passport or a proof of citizenship and thus was unable to present anything else to the customs besides my driver's license. I got heckled quite a bit but eventually (and luckily) got through.

*Highlight of the conversation*
Customs Agent: " You are required to present a proof of your citizenship and without that I cannot let you through."
Me: "Can I declare my citizenship orally?"
Customs Agent: "No."
