Having absolutely no reason to wake up except for the occasional banging on the door by the room maids,
Mack and I decided to sleep in a little later. We booked a 3 hour tour of Seattle for Monday morning so today was one of those ad hoc, get out of bed when your muscles start cramping days. We left the hotel around noonish and stopped by the same bagel place as before for breakfast. We then walked through the Farmer's market by the coast where they sold everything from fresh meat, seafood to flowers and homemade jam. I picked up some stuff there and even exercised some of my elite chinese bargaining skills just for fun :)
I've also noticed there are alot of musicians in Seattle who promote their CD by playing right on the street (there are also countless other street performers). There was this one tall blonde woman in a red dress, high heels and singing while playing the guitar and harmonica and spinning a hula hoop around her hip all at the sametime! The only problem was this woman was a man. We got a picture to say the least. The rest of day was filled with aimless walking around Seattle and we ended up doing a huge circle from our hotel to the sports stadium and back. We picked up some reading material at Barnes and Nobles and just relaxed in our room and watched the movie
Secret Window, based on a Stephen King novel. Pretty intense movie!
We went to subway for dinner tonight and you won't believe...they don't have sub sauce! Maybe its under a different name that is more American diet friendly like
high protein sauce or
artificial goat milk or...I'll shut up.
Anyways, returning to Edmonton tomorrow! I think I'm going to fool around in the fitness room now...
