It didn't make the news until the program was cancelled but apparently the Roanoke Walmart store had a singles shopping program where customers could place a red bow on their carts as an invitation to other singles. Pretty innovative for a grocery store! Not all is lost however as it sounds like the program is still running in Germany. Read the article
