Yesterday, I went to Wizard Lake with
Mack,
Andrew, Yili, and Warren for a four day camping trip. Although I came back to Edmonton tonight, I'll be heading out again sometime in the afternoon tomorrow.
We spent most of our first night just setting up and eating lots of food including the huge steaks Warren brought. We played a little bit of glow in the dark frisbee, which was quite cool, but we called off the game after the frisbee hit the neighboring RV one too many times.
Second day:
We all woke up around 11 am as we didn't feel like getting up any earlier.
Mack and
Andrew started the morning off with some alcohol and Warren cooked bacon for breakfast. The rest of the day was spent taking walks, playing frisbee, basketball and badminton. And of course, a camping trip wouldn't be complete without something exploding! Unfortunately, we forgot to bring Coffeemate so instead, we threw in unopened pop cans which actually explode pretty well (video to come)!
Megan and
Jane joined us later that day and brought coffeemate for perhaps the biggest amateur explosion to take place at that campground.
Mack chopped tons of wood and we created a huge wood layer at a new firepit location in preparation for the night's stunt. Unfortunately, as I had to come home I'm going to miss the stunt but I look forward to seeing it on video!
So far, this is what we learned:
Unopened Pop cans: explodes well
Bacon Grease: Good at starting fires
Purell Soap: Does not burn
Insect Bee: Uh....I had nothing to do with it
