Although this movie stormed the box office, it was one of those movies that you either really liked or didn't like.
The 40 Year old Virgin, as its name implies, is about a 40 year old man (Andy) who has never had sex and when his three coworker friends learn of this, they embark on a mission to get him laid. From a cultural perspective, I would almost say Andy is asian. He constantly struggles with his sexual value. On one hand, he believes sex is a sacred act and on the otherhand, his coworkers are trying to tell him sex is merely a commodity. In any case, I think the premise of the movie is funny but the execution could have been a little better. It didn't have the witty humor like Wedding Crasher but instead had the crude, testosterone type humor - kind of like Scary Movie. It did have some funny parts but overall, I was a little disappointed.
