For as long as I remember, I love typing contests. I've won or at least placed top 3 in all the typing contest in Elementary, including the chinese typing contests. And in junior high, I had many informal competitions ranging from one finger to two hand all out homerow challenge. I didn't win the one finger challenge, even though I obtained 91 WPM, but I did win the two hand homerow challenge with a speed of 248 WPM. Most recently, I played one of those online typing games (not an official competition) and took first place in Canada (although I'm sure I'm no longer first now). And now, I have another chance to compete again!
There is going to be a BlackBerry thumb typing contest on October 12, starting at 12:30 on the 2nd floor of ETLC by Tim Hortons. This competition is sponsored by
Research in Motion and there will supposedly be lots of prizes! I'm not 100% confident I will win but since I have quite abit of experience using Blackberries, I would think I have a considerable advantage over any other competitor! I just have to watch out for those SMS/text messaging fanatics...
Competition is open to anyone! Participate or come watch me compete! I'm definitely skipping class for this!
