Theft occurs everyday yet it is probably something we don't expect happening to ourselves - at least I'm one of those people. I parked my car at the stadium this morning and either the lock was picked or I left it unlocked because when I returned in the evening, I found the inside of my car in an absolute mess. Somebody had thoroughly gone thorugh my car and taken some of my belongings including my cds, money in the ashtray (no more than $5 in coins), bus tickets, a poster, and my garage door opener. To me, the biggest lost was the cds because among them were my Rob Costlow cds and my most favorite, the Yellow River piano concerto cd. The later was purchased in China many years ago and it would be very difficult to get another one - or at least the exact same one.
At the sametime, I have to be thankful because it could have been worse. They didn't take my badminton equipment (which is probably worth the most in dollar value) and they only took 1 of the 3 posters in my car. Quite ironic to say the least. As well, other than scattering my music books and binders all over the place, it seems like they left them behind. Hopefully, I don't find anything else missing. You can bet I'm going to be much more cautious and maybe I'll even have my car auto detonate when illegally entered.
Damn thieves.
**Update:
Found my other poster :)
