I think overall our four day trip in Toronto was one of our better trips. I learned a lot from the Mesh Conference and particularly its balance coverage on topics from social media to the business aspects of web 2.0. The last two days in Toronto were also pretty laid back. Having been to Toronto many times, I've visited most of the big attractions so most of the time was spent sleeping in - (even the cleaning staff came back two times before we told them to just forget about it). We did however go watch the Lord of the Rings musical (detail review to come) and also visited the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The Hockey Hall of Fame was not as big (or grand) as I thought but it was still interesting. The Hockey Hall of Fame covered everything on hockey from trophies, famous players and referees to toys and how broadcasting of the games are done. There was also a mini arena where you can practice taking shots against a virtual goalie projected onto a screen but unfortunately, the hordes of kids lining up kept me away from it (but thats not to say the thought of cross-checking my way through them didn't cross my mind :). I'm by no means a fanatic hockey fan but I think their listed average visit time of 3 hours was way too long. We toured the entire musuem within an hour and stayed about a half hour more just to watch some of the videos. And of course, no visit would be complete without a visit to the gift shop.
I was way too lazy to bring a camera this time so if you like to see some of the pictures (including a hobo) you can visit
here, courtesy of
Mack.
