According to a recent survey published by Privacy International, they've ranked Canada as one of the top countries in protecting your privacy rights with a score of 3.6 out of 5, second only to Germany's score of 3.9. On the other end of the spectrum, China and Malaysia shared the bottom rung with a score of 1.3 followed closely by Russia and UK (1.4 and 1.5 respectively). Unsurprisingly, U.S. scored 2.0 and I only expect it to go down hill from here on. You can see the full report here.
