Originally, we were planning to post each session minutes after it was recorded but yesterday's MooseCamp turned out to be a little too rushed. Nevertheless, we have gotten most of the sessions posted now except for a few where we recorded in video.
MooseCamp started off on a pleasantly sunny day with about 100 attendees and judging by the attendee elected topics, I would say the audience is much more technically-inclined than previous year. I was only able to stay for a few sessions as I left shortly after lunch for a business meeting and didn't get back till late evening. And other than going out to a local Chinese restaurant on campus, we spent the rest of the time back at the Triumf House processing our recorded content.
Today begins the conference portion of Northern Voice and unfortunately, the weather hasn't been as cooperative as yesterday. It was/is snowing hard and if I didn't know better, I would have thought this was Edmonton. Luckily for us (and our recording equipment), the Triumf House is only a few blocks from the conference center so the displeasure didn't last too long. There are a lot more attendees today and according to Darren, they have 300 registrations for the conference. The conference opened up with a keynote by Anil Dash (watch video), a long time blogger and VP of Six-Apart, on how blogs have changed and continue to change our lives and while the topic itself is nothing new, Anil still manages to deliver an engaging presentation with interesting insights from his own experience and how he thinks the future will roll out.
